When it comes to eating you don't want to make a second thought because you don't want to miss that lips smacking and fingers licking shot. The most relative habit of every Indian is food love. Indian food is that ravishing asset which would never be overtaken by food of any country. Its a truth because we have the foundation so strong and so wide in case of cuisine made in india that we are even known by it. Once ask a foreigner about India he would even say Indian curry scratching his head. India is a diverse culture. The different originating beings form different state also distinguishes the cuisines. Like if you go Rajasthan you will be thinking about dal bhati churma and if you travel Punjab makki ki roti and sarso ka saag will be on your mind.My idea is to grab those indian cultre cuisuine and take them together. Just remind me if i miss any.
1)Indian Chaat
Indian Chaat takes the first position because loved by every indian without and reason of avoidance. The chaat is coolest snack for a small hunger. The taste of mashed potato and papdi drenched in curd and garnished with sweet and sour stuffings with sauce makes it a yummy subject. Most of the crowd in india literally loves it and gather in evening to taste this chaat. The expertise in making chaat is also a magic in its own way.
2)Butter Chicken
This trademark dish of non vegetarians takes the second spot.Butter chicken could be honored because every other indian has been the fan of it. If it's not in the list of a occasion then definitely something is missing out. That small peices and chunks of chicken in the top best curry makes the aroma and smell too strong. The butter spread makes it more amazing. Butter chicken is always the most loved. If you find anything too delicious and melting in taste that means you are correctly eating butter chicken.
3)Hydrabadi biryani
The Most electrifying and stunning Hyderabadi biyani finds itself on third spot. The biryani has not just made spaces in indian culture food list since mughals era but it has also kept its place in the heart of its eater. If you go hydrabad don't forget or ignore it because that biryani has no copy in the whole nation. Biryani rice garnished with dryfruits over it and chutney in complementry is for vegetarians bowl and the additional chicken and mutton chunks occupying is for non veggies.
4)Sarso ka saag and makki ki roti
The next spot goes to sarso ka saag and makki ki roti. If you are ever travelling in north and the area of punjab you will surely meet this intresting food. The sarso with ghee spread over it is just overwhelming. The makki ki roti differs with the normal roti in taste and texture. It's more hard but once the ghee spreads over it than the hardness is totally lost and tastes makes you go cloud on 9. Every home in punjab atleast have the frequency to make sarso saag and makki roti once in a week. you could give a try at any dhaba at nothern highway of india.
5)Dhokla
This Gujarati dish is made from chickpea and flour and rice flour. Its too soft, spongy and garnished with mustard seeds after completion. Very good and light cuisine. The dhokla is dipped in sour chutney which is made from coriander with fried chilies. Usually eaten during evening and served with chutney. The dhokla comes in many forms some of which are khatta dhokla, rasia dhokla, khandavi dhokla, besan dhokla etc.
6)Dosa
This featured food orignates from sourthen india but also consumed in northern india. The dosa has many forms paper dosa, masala dosa, cheese dosa, butter masala dosa etc. The making of dosa might takes a whole day as the batter for formation is kept one day before making it another day. The batter is made up of rice powder. In chennai its a regular food. searved with sambhar ie made from daal and nariyal chutney. Dosa is totally a lunch material.
7)Kebab
Although kebab is a middlern east dish but in India it is also very famous. The cuisine is made on skewer but pan grilling also takes place at restaurants and home now a days. This traditional dish has it's roots in India science the mughal era. The meat of lamb or mutton is what it is made of. The dish is grilled on fire when skewer is placed above it at some distance. Totally a non vegetarian dish.
8)Daal Baati Churma
This rajasthani dish is made up of lentil(dal) and baati a hard bread made in a traditional oven and served with a ground wheat dish known as churma. The ghee fragrance makes almost every one crazy. There is one more variation for baati ie baafi which is a softer version of baati. usually baati is hard made up of wheat.
Too difficult to resist and too easy to finish it.
9)Mishti Doi
This yogurt dish is from Bengal and prepared in earthenware. The procedures involves boiling milk in the earthenware pot then adding jaggery and let the milk to get fermented.overnight. The earthen where pot is comprises of pores as it lets the yogurt to get hard till the end procedure. This sweetened yogurt after the meal is just wow. Don't miss it.
10) Gulab Jamun
Gulab jamun takes the second last spot but it is not the desert suited for last list but number one in indian deserts. Rightly this is not just a one time eating element because that sweetend spongy gulab jamun makes anyone eat it unended time. Let me talk about the formation it is made up of khoya which is turned into dough and then dipped into sugar syrup. The gulab jamun is garnished with dry fruit over it.
11)Kulfi
The creamer kulfi takes the last spot. It's not just a substitute of Indian ice cream but a complementry. The flavored are more tastier and amazing then the unflavored like paan, rose etc. you just loose yourself in its flowery taste once you start licking it. The formation is too easy as well. Hot milk is sweetened with sugar and made creamer then it is poured in the hot moulds or kulhars to deep freeze and served. The various dry fruits are also added during the process.
